I GOT ISSUES is the sixth studio album by Compton rapper YG. First single Scared Money featuring Moneybagg Yo and J Cole was released on February 4, 2022 and later on March 1 was perfomed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where Jimmy Fallon annouced name of album will be Pray For me, but album was for unknown reason renamed to I Got Issues. On April 22, YG teased song Toxic on tiktok, which samples Mary J. Blige song Be Happy. On June 24, 2022, YG released single Run with Tyga, 21 Savage and BIA, but for unknown reason, song didn’t appeared on album. On August 12, YG released already mentioned song Toxic. On September 1, YG revealed name, release date and cover art for album. On September 9 was released third single Alone. On September 20, tracklist was revealed through Apple Music. On September 23 was released fourth and last single off album, Maniac.

What has YG said about the album?
I’m having the same approach with this album as I had with My Krazy Life and Still Brazy. I’m in that space again. I own all my shit. I’m moving like it’s all on me. It’s my time. I don’t have no bad blood, I ain’t mad, I don’t feel no type of way. It’s time to get busy.

Where does the title stem from?
When I came up with that title, I was like half-way there with the album and I had a handful of records. I wasn’t trying to force anything, I was trying to come create some shit and bring it to life. I’m like, ‘'I need to go listen to the music and let the music create the title’‘. So I’m listening to the music. And I’m like, ’‘Yo, pray for me. I need help. My life is crazy, life is crazy’‘. Everybody in my life for the past two years has been going through some crazy shit. And this was back in like August [of 2021] when I came with this title.

I GOT ISSUES debuted and peaked at #18 on the Billboard 200 for the chart week ending October 15, 2022. The album moved 14,000 equivalent album units in its first sales week.
