About “4REAL 4REAL”

4REAL 4REAL is the fourth studio album by the Compton-based rapper YG, released on May 24, 2019 throughout Def Jam and Universal.

It was originally supposed to be a surprise release on April 12, 2019, but after the murder of his friend and colleague Nipsey Hussle on March 31, 2019, YG decided to postpone his new work, as well as other artists, in order to respect Ermias' inspiring figure.

May 3, 2019 was indicated as the second possible release date, but 4REAL 4REAL was delayed once more to the final one. Eventually, the Californian rapper paid tribute to Hussle by dedicating to him the whole LP, and especially the thirteenth track on it, “My Last Words”, which is essentially an extract of YG’s speech at Asghedom’s funeral march.

The album has been anticipated by the singles “Stop Snitchin,” debuted at the Coachella Festival during a controversial exhibition, and “Go Loko.”
