DRILLMATIC – Heart vs. Mind is Compton, California native The Game’s tenth studio album. Released on August 12, 2022, the album follows his November 2019 album, Born 2 Rap.
Following the Kanye West-accompanied viral single “Eazy,” released on May 29, 2022, The Game announced the album, the album’s cover art, release date, and executive production by Hit-Boy.
On June 1, 2022, four days after the announcement, The Game shared the album’s tracklist, confirming thirty songs.
This album is better than Doctor’s Advocate. Shit, it’s better than The Documentary. I’m not here to gas shit, I don’t even shoot most of my videos, I don’t over promote, I don’t even give a fuck if one nigga buy it… This Drillmatic shit [is] different. This shit got Ye out the house on some different shit. This shit got niggas moving different. Ask Ye who lyrically is coming out the woodworks and making niggas wake up.

When it does, then everyone that has bought the stem player – You should go to stemplayer.com and get your stem player, because at some point you’re gonna need that. “World Tours” had a posthumous feat from Nipsey Hussle. Blacc Sam, Nipsey’s elder brother, made a legal demand The Game to remove the song from the tracklist. Wack 100, The Game’s manager, has stated he believes this is because he’s made statements that Nipsey doesn’t deserve legendary status. He has also claimed that Blacc Sam’s demand is selfish and that the feat was intended to support Nipsey’s family and keep his name alive.
DRILLMATIC – Heart vs. Mind debuted at #12 on the Billboard 200 during the chart week ending of August 27, 2022.
